Imagine a great room in a hotel reaching up ten to fifteen stories. Add a pool on the first floor and platforms. Imagine platforms to dive off of, extending out ten to fifteen feet from the great room border at five foot intervals all the way to the top. The highest platforms would be 100 plus feet high. Imagine a hotel surrounding the great room with the platforms and pool as part of the same building. Imagine a restaurant at the top with the platforms and pool visible while people are eating dinner. Imagine seating available for parents and other onlookers. Imagine a bare bones design versus an elaborate architects design. Consider the ten to fifteen story diving great room being awe creating enough. Imagine the lower platform levels in another room as another option.
Consider the market and therefore business opportunities as extreme sports grow at very high rate. What if the dive centers would be as popular as the ski resorts? Consider the dive centers also as a franchise. Consider the coaches advancement requirements to get to the next five-foot level for proof of skill establishment. Consider training and coaching classes as volunteer or required. Consider a full hotel due to people coming to train or practice diving. Consider again, a popular place to eat on the top floors. Consider sound and airproof boundaries between the restaurant, hotel, and the dive center. Imagine programs for children who have parents that cannot afford a diving center membership. Consider hotels with great rooms and the success they would have if full, and how full they would be becasue of travelers coming to dive at the center.
The source of this dive center idea was established over 20 years. It started with not being able to find enough cliff's and bridges to dive off at acceptable intervals while I was in highschool. There were increases in the height of the bridges and cliffs that were not close enough becasue they went from around thirty then to fifty then to one to two hundred feet. This dive center is the solution to that problem. There is a hotel in Corpus Christi, Texas with a huge great room similar to the one that would work for this dive center idea. Some high school and college compainions and I would go to bedrock, dorena resivour, a place near portland, another place outside of sweethome, and some bridges like the one going into Corvallis, Oregon to jump or dive off of. The dive center is the perfect way to solve the problem. I have not crunched the numbers for consideration of a successful dive center, but the business combinations I do not estimate would fail when put together. Especially if it was on the internet after being on the news in the area it is located or national broadcasts as the next big franchise or something close.
Retaining wall building for cliff negotiations with snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking etc. The memory based factors in developing skill in the extreme sports would have people going to the destinations with the such in my estimation.
